TEST #11

Purposes:

  1. Demonstrate UV-Florescence in Detergents

Click on Thumbnails for the original pics from the camera

In these three exposures, you should be able to see left to right in each shot:

bulletA green felt fabric that was on the test bench throughout
bulletA bottle of Temp Detergent (marked "Free & Clear")
bulletA bottle of All Detergent-- (marked "Free/Clear"
bulletA bottle of Ultra-Gain left over from the 11/6 tests
bulletThe controls

Description of test:  From left to right:

  1. Control shot made with flash
  2. Same setup, except lit by Black Light-- notice the mouths of the bottles .

Conclusion:  I did not go out of my way to find these detergents.  The first two are ones that I keep around for doing really dirty deer hunting clothes, believing the "FREE AND CLEAR" marking.  You can see that the mouths of all three bottles glow like something out of CSI.  I looked around the laundry room, and the place glowed like a blood-spattered crime scene.   Of all of Atsko's claims, this one is for real: there really are UV-brighteners in the detergent. Of course, I don't use laundry detergent to wash my clothes most of the time, and when I do, I double-rinse them with sodium bicarbonate.   Before you walk away, from this, at least stay for the next test.
